“Our Angels”
Happy Sunday!
After a long hiatus, I present to you, “Our Angels”.
Read on for more..
I’ve always believed that when a loved one passes, they become angels—watching over us, protecting us, and blessing us from the other side.
Losing Mamima was a hard journey. I thought I was okay, but grief manifested in unexpected ways—random pains, dreams, and a lack of inspiration. I didn’t feel like creating anything for Khyatiworks; it just didn’t feel right.
Last week, while listening to a podcast, a conversation about losing loved ones really struck me. It discussed how difficult it can be for our loved ones to move on if we are still grieving them. In fact, it made me realize that mourning their loss can be a bit selfish, as it can prevent them from moving forward on their journey with peace.
One example that hit home was how, when we travel for work, if our kids are happy and content, we can leave with ease. But if they’re upset and crying, it makes our trip harder and we carry that worry with us.
This resonated deeply, and I made a promise to myself to never grieve Mamima again. I’ll always cherish the love and warmth she gave me, and I’ll celebrate our bond instead. I want her to journey forward with peace, love, and no worries about us. We will thrive, and we will make her proud.
I created this piece as a tribute to our angels, and the bright skies where they reside. Take a close look—each tiny detail is a reflection of the love and connection we hold dear. 🌿✨
So if you had a loved one who is now an angel, this piece is for you. It‘ll remind you to celebrate your bond and make them proud😊❤️🪽
